After 2 years of mithering Alan to death and reading up on the
breed, Little did we realise that when Cass finally arrived in our home
in January 2000 …Our lives would never quite be the same again......
We were told she had been pick of the litter and the owner of the
stud dog had decided not to keep her……Somehow I think we were conned!
LOL….
She is not how a true Mastino should be….but very beautiful in her
own right, a lovely rich mahogany colour.
She has a quirky nature, is very quick and intelligent, but hasn’t
got the wrinkle, bone or body mass associated with a Neapolitan Mastiff
of true type.
She wavers on or around 40 kilos, tiny for a Neapolitan but for all
her small size…she makes up with a BIG personality!
We have never bred Cass and don’t intend to. She is a family pet
and we couldn’t imagine life without her!
Cass is currently just over 10 years old, which is an excellent age
for a neapolitan, she has slowed down considerably since we moved here,
has fought and overcome an aggressive form of cancer and is now living
her days out basking in the freedom we have been able to offer her by
moving to France.
